Quick Overview

Who:  Sammy1000 aka Jay is once again having a real life gathering for anyone from There.com, family and friends that would like to attend and have some fun.

What:  We will be having fun at Hueston Woods camping.  There is swimming, fishing, boating, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, golfing, some geocaches and a many more things to do.

When:    Arriving Friday June 18th at 3:00 pm to set up tent ---- breaking down the tent around 12 pm Sunday June 20th 2010.

Why:      Why not... lol?  We have been getting together for five years now with the Christian Friends of There and have been having a great time.

Friday June 18th 2010

We plan on arriving and setting up tent/camp at 3pm.  That is check in time and I am not sure how much earlier we can check in.  I imagine it will depend upon how busy the campgrounds are that day.  There are so many activities that we can do and we will not have anything planned.  Basically we will do what we want to do.  The thing about our RLG is that they are all about relationships.  We enjoy hanging out together and just enjoying each others company.

We also plan on cooking out most of the time while we are there.  But once again, that will be open to the group.  No one is locked into anything.

I have an area at the campground where we can all be a little apart from the rest of the campers, but you will need to reserve the spots left open before others fill them in.

There are other accommodations available if tent camping is not your cup of tea, but they are much more expensive then the $24 a night for tent camping.  There will be pics and more information available as you read down.

Saturday June 19th 2010

We plan on doing whatever we want to do once again: Eating, playing, fishing, swimming, games, etc.  If you want to just come for the day to visit, then I would advise that you contact us and let us know when you are coming.  We can let you know where we are at.  I know that guests can come visit us in the campground for $2 per car.  So if you wanted to come hang out, or even meet us while swimming or fishing, it is up to you.

Checking out before 1pm.  Once again, we will do what we like.

Directions:

1. Click on Reserve Campsites

2. Select Hueston Woods Electric Campground - yes we do have electric  :)  The arrival date will be either June 18 or 19, depending if you want to stay 1 or 2 nights.  Select equipment, we use tents.  If you have a trailer or motor home, you will have to select that.  Be advised the area I chose will not support a motor home, only tents or maybe a popup.  Select number of people.  Then for pets, you might as well leave it no preference, because all of the camp spots are available for animals.  So if you check no, it will show that there are no spots with your criteria available.  Then click Check availability

3. On this page click on the "View Availability on Maps" buttons.

4. Now you will see the map of the electric campground.  All available sites will be in green.  The red spots are reserved

5. Go to the left of the map and you will see Loop E.  That is where we are staying and I thought would be a good spot to gather.  E18 and E17 have already been reserved by the group.  We eyed out the spots and here is our opinion on each of them.  E3 - E4 - E5 good, E6 not good, E7 - E8 good, E9 not good, E15 -E16 Good, E19 not good.  These are just my opinions and who knows by June they may look different.. lol  Still we think this is a great spot.  There are a few pics of some of them down below.

6. Did I mention that there are showers, toilets, playgrounds and suppose to be WiFi?

7. Choose the spot you would like to have, hopefully down where we are at.  Then it will bring up a window on price and to add it to your cart.

8. Now you will have to create a customer login for new customer and continue.  You will then be able to finish the reservation.
