| The Lord’s Prayer (As a guide to how to pray.) 1) Our Father, Who art in heaven a) He must be you Father…You must ask Jesus to be you Lord and Saviour to have an effective prayer life. b) Praise Him and thank Him that He is your Abba Father…Papa God, Daddy 2) Hallowed be Thy Name a) Worship His Name, call him Holy b) Spend time in the beginning of prayer praising and worshipping God, He deserves it and it gives Him such pleasure 3) Thy Kingdom Come a) We need to pledge our allegiance to God our King b) We need to promise to obey Him 4) Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven a) Pray for God’s will to be done in your life b) In the lives of those you love c) Pray for salvations here . . .you can be sure that is in the will of God 5) Give us this day our daily bread a) Pray for the needs in your life b) Pray for others needs 6) And forgive us our trespasses as we for give those who trespassed against us a) Ask forgiveness for your sin b) Forgive others who have hurt you 7) And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one a) Pray that the Lord will help you to conquer any temptation b) Quote scripture as Jesus did while being tempted 8) For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory for ever and ever.
