We have all heard stories or even experienced it firsthand, where someone
walks into a church only to be shunned because of the way they look, or because
of the way they dress. And many have been turned away because of religious
practices and or "rituals."
All of us are familiar with the scripture John 3:16 which reads "For God so
loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, so that everyone who
believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." but look what it goes on
to say in verse 3:17. "God did not send his son into the world to CONDEMN it,
but to SAVE it."
When it all comes down to it, the only thing that truly matters is your personal
relationship with Jesus, not what you wear, not how long your hair is, not
whether you are goth or not. Truth be told, God doesn't care if you are a goth,
He doesn't care if you wear your hair long, or if you have tattoos. The only
thing God cares about is your heart. The Bible itself says "Come as you are", it
does not say, "trim your hair, slip on your white robe, and your million dollar
shoes, and THEN come to me. "God does not say "well..if you quit wearing black,
put on an expensive suit and tie, and start listening to country gospel THEN you
can enter into my presence." Being a Christian is not about restraint and
conformity...its the exact opposite! When you are a Christian you are FREE. You
may think "well if I serve God then that means I cant have fun." Nope, thats not
true at all. God wants you to have fun, he doesnt want you to be bored and
depressed. Alot of people feel they are not good enough for God, or they feel
they have done too much wrong to be accepted by God. You can look in the Bible
and see many cases where God took someone who had done horrible things and
changed them for his glory. He took a deceiver like Jacob, and made the promise
of the Messiah come through him, he took a murderer like Moses to lead the
people of Isreal out of Egypt, He took a prostitute like Rahab to help Joshua
get out of the city, He took an adulterer like David and made him the king of
Isreal, He took someone who denied the Son of God face to face like Peter to
preach the gospel of Jesus Christ on the day of Pentecost and win thousands to
the Lord, He took a Christian murderer like Paul, and changed his life to preach
the gospel of Jesus to the gentiles. 2000 years ago when Jesus stretched out his
hands on that cross, he was dying for the world. The Bible says that he LOVED
the world so much, that GOD loved the world so much that he gave his only
begotten son. Jesus said this about himself, "As Moses lifted up the serpent in
the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up, that whoever believes in
him will not perish but have eternal life. " Jesus became that serpent went He
was hung up on that cross. He became that serpent because the sins of every
murderer were on Him, the sins of every rapist were on Him, the sins of every
abortion were on Him, every thief, every liar, every idol worshipper, every
rebellious child, unfaithful parent, and unfaithful marriage were on Him. The
sins of every child molester were on Him that day, the sin of every lustful
thought, and sexual perversion and every hurtful word that's ever been spoken
were on the lamb of God that day. The lamb of God that never committed a sin,
the hands that never even did anything wrong were stretched out and pierced for
us that day. Today if you don't know Jesus I want you to know that when he died
on that cross 2000 years ago, that he did it out of love for YOU, that you could
be forgiven of your sins today. The Bible says in Romans 5:8 that he
demonstrated his love for us that even while we were still sinners Christ died
for us.
If you don't know Jesus, He wants to come into your life, He wants to change
you. If you've done things you think nobody could forgive you of, Jesus has
opened up the gift of eternal life, He's stretching it out to you today. And
he's saying "Will you just take this gift?"
If you don't know Him why don't you just pray this prayer to accept Jesus into
your life.
now don't just say it, its gotta be from your heart, just merely speaking it
means nothing, you need to mean it with all of your heart, with a true desire
inside.

"Heavenly Father, I believe that Jesus came and died for me, I know that He's
the Son of God, and I want him to be my redeemer, my God, my Lord, my Savior.
Forgive me of my sins, wash me in the blood of Jesus. Make me a new creature in
Christ Jesus. Change my life oh God, change my heart and change my mind. Use me
to be a witness to this world, make me a disciple of Jesus Christ...God save
me...in Jesus name.
If you prayed that prayer, I want to encourage you to start your walk with Jesus
Christ and never turn back.
