Whirled Festival of Tops 8-22-09

Saturday night 8-22-09 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm

Join us for the tenth edition of the Whirled Top Festival in historic downtown
Miamisburg. This event will be Saturday, August 22nd from 5pm to 8pm. It
is one of the biggest top spinning events in the world. It is also one of the
longest running top festivals on the globe.

Gather with local school participants, scouts, juggling groups and more who
will be battling for $100 in gold coins (plus one more for each year of the event so
this year we will be giving out 110 gold dollar coins). A team is made up of three top throwers tossing in an arena. Each top that spins is worth one point. the longest spinner in a round gets an extra point. The teams battle to 11 points.

We are working on another special guest for this year.  Unfortunately we won't be
able to get Dale Oliver to join us again. He was with us for five years and continues
to be heavily involved in top spinning at www.spintastics.com two years ago our special
surprise guest was the newly crowned world champion Matt Ritter. Maybe the
next world champion will be with us again this year?  Keep checking this website.
